Tony D'Astolfo

Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Rearden Commerce

A 25-year travel industry veteran, Tony D'Astolfo has long been considered one of corporate travel's leading experts. Prior to joining Rearden Commerce, Tony served as Senior Vice President at Sabre-Holdings, where he ran GetThere, Sabre's online business-to-business e-commerce unit. Tony led GetThere's penetration into more than 50% of Fortune 200 companies and 67% of the "BTN 100," Business Travel News' roster of companies with the largest annual travel spend. Prior to GetThere, Tony worked at United Airlines for 19 years. As Corporate Sales Manager in the New York metropolitan area, he and his team grew United's revenue by over $100 million annually through a targeted, well-executed strategy aimed at the financial services and pharmaceutical industries. As National Sales Manager for the United Kingdom and Ireland, he helped formulate United's Pan-European sales strategy and the go-to-market sales plan for Star Alliance, a marketing consortium that included eight of the world's largest airlines. Tony graduated with honors from Bernard M. Baruch College in New York City, with a BA in Marketing and Management. He is a frequent speaker at travel industry conferences sponsored by NBTA (National Business Travel Association), IBTA (International Business Travel Association), ACTE (Association of Corporate Travel Executives) and serves as a member of the ACTE Board of Directors.

Mike Fridgen

Director, Product Management, Farecast, a Microsoft company

Mike has over 10 years of Internet travel experience, most of which he spent with startup companies. Prior to joining Farecast as VP Marketing and Product Development in May 2005, Mike ran e-commerce marketing at Alaska Airlines. Before Alaska, he held marketing and product development positions with Expedia and NLG. From 1996 to 2000, Mike was the Co-Founder and CEO of a consolidated, venture backed travel startup. Mike is a graduate of the University of Washington and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Scott Hintz

Vice President, Product, TripIt

TripIt co-founder Scott brings years of travel, product, strategy and technology experience to the TripIt team. At TripIt, Scott is tasked with the challenge of making TripIt.com so easy to use that it encourages travelers to gleefully plan and fulfill the most event-packed trips of their lives.

Prior to TripIt, Scott was senior vice president, Product for Hotwire and led the Product Management, Business Development and Travel Relationships teams. Prior to Hotwire, Scott spent five years as a strategy consultant for Accenture advising clients such as Chrysler, Canon USA, United Airlines, Hewlett-Packard, and Visa USA on corporate strategy, process design, and business planning. Scott received a B.S. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Adam Metz

Independent Social Web Strategy Consultant

Adam Metz is a veteran social web strategist with three years experience working with both business and consumer brands. He builds data-driven assessments that drive client business objectives, based on a fusion of Trinity Analytics and social web analytics.

As director of social media strategies at LaunchSquad (2007-2008), he advised business and consumer facing technology brands including Daptiv, Awareness Networks, Mighty Leaf Tea, Timbuk2, and Newsgator. He also designed, engineered and executed LaunchSquad’s social and mobile media initiatives, including client projects that include blogs, podcasts, vodcasts and other applications such as wikis. Prior to joining LaunchSquad, he had his own social media company, VIPER Education. Previously, Adam counseled startup companies regarding their mobile media programs, spent three years managing a million-dollar tech sales portfolio for CDW, and taught high school English and Reading courses for four years. He has a B.A. in News-Editorial Journalism from the University of Wisconsin and a single-subject English teaching credential from Notre Dame de Namur University. Metz has published articles on new media in PR Week, The Journal and the San Francisco Guardian. He also plays guitar and sings for the Oakland-based band Reds. Gregory Pierce

Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer/CFO, Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau

Gregory Pierce joined Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) in 1987 and currently serves as executive vice president and chief administrative officer/CFO. He is responsible for all financial, accounting, reporting, human resources, membership, registration, visitors' services, web marketing and technology functions of ACVB and related subsidiaries, reporting directly to the CEO and board of directors. Pierce serves on the boards of all of ACVB's subsidiary companies: ACVB Enterprises, LTD, ATCOMM Publishing and ACVB Foundation, Inc. He is directly involved in setting the strategy for metropolitan Atlanta's largest industry which drives direct economic impact of $11.4 billion dollars a year.

Ashley Randall

Senior Product Manager, TripAdvisor

Ashley spearheads TripAdvisor’s social networking products, including the TripAdvisor traveler network, top-rated Facebook applications, travel maps and wiki-based travel guides, as well as the development of more enhancements to the suite of the site’s member engagement features. TripAdvisor’s 25+ million travelers comprise the world’s largest travel community, and Ashley leads the company’s efforts to emphasize the members behind the industry-leading library of fifteen million reviews and opinions. Ashley came to TripAdvisor after leading the internet marketing and development groups at Boston’s leading entertainment retailer Newbury Comics and electronics marketer Tweeter. She spent more than ten years as a new media consultant to clients including American Express, Estee Lauer, HP, Morgan Stanley and many more. She holds degrees from Tufts University.

Martin Stoll

Founder & President, GoSeeTell Network Inc.

Martin Stoll is the founder and president of GoSeeTell Network Inc., a Portland (Oregon) based travel e-commerce and consulting company. His more than 20 years of experience in the industry allowed him to gather some of the brightest minds in travel technology to form GoSeeTell in 2006. Today GoSeeTell is the leading technology platform for integrating user-generated-content into the marketing mix of destination marketing organizations. Martin Stoll also does strategy consulting with clients in the US and Europe and helps them to integrate and implement social productivity and social recommendation tools. He speaks about Web 2.0 and technology trends on a regular basis.

Prior to staring GoSeeTell he worked for Lufthansa German Airlines in various management positions in Europe, Latin American and the United States in sales, marketing, e-commerce and network planning. During his time at Lufthansa he developed the airline's highly successful "Surprise & Fly" online product. Before joining Lufthansa he worked as a journalist and best-selling travel writer.

Shirley Tafoya

President, North America and Senior Vice President of Sales, Travelzoo

Ms. Tafoya has served as President, North America since June 2008 and as Senior Vice President of Sales for Travelzoo since May 2001. Prior to joining Travelzoo, Ms. Tafoya was Western Sales Director for the Walt Disney Internet Group where she led both advertising and ecommerce partnerships. Ms. Tafoya began her career in print publishing and has held senior positions focusing on strategic and global accounts at CMP Media, IDG, and IDC Research. Ms. Tafoya holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Notre Dame de Namur University. Patrick T. Tierney Ph.D.

Chairman and Professor, Dept. of Recreation, Parks and Tourism, San Francisco State University

Patrick Tierney received a Ph.D. in Recreation Resources with a concentration in Tourism from Colorado State University in 1991. Currently he is chairman of the Recreation, Parks and Tourism Department at San Francisco State University and has taught classes in tourism and recreation management and marketing, tourism systems, entrepreneurship and resort management. He is co-author of a new book: Recreation, Event and Tourism Businesses: Startup and Sustainable Operations.

Cady Wolf

Vice President, Partner Marketing, Travelocity

Cady Wolf leads the team responsible for managing Travelocity’s relationships with hotel, destination, attraction and e-commerce suppliers in the Western U.S., Hawaii, & Canada. In her more than 15+ years in the travel industry, Cady has held a variety of positions involving sales, marketing, communications, and PR at leading travel related companies throughout the U.S. She received a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University, and her Masters from the Harrah College of Hospitality Administration at UNLV. She currently serves on the Vail Resorts Advisory Board, as well as the Leadership Council Board for Arizona State University’s Megopolitan Tourism Research Center. Cady lives in San Francisco with her husband and three young sons.
